Winemaker Brian Mox

Brian is a native of Wisconsin, with a degree in Chemistry from M.I.T., but before graduating he'd already completed 2 harvests at Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in Napa. He went on to become Enologist at Pine Ridge Winery for 3 years before his twin passions for science and winemaking drove Brian to pursue a Ph.D in Agriculture and Environmental Chemistry from UC Davis.

Brian's brilliant career includes 5 year's experience with Winemaker positions at Laird Family Estate and Etude Wines, plus 3 years of consulting winemaking in Napa Valley. It was at Laird that we first met and worked with Brian - and we quickly became fans. Brian joined our team in 2006 and he brings outstanding skills and experience, and more than a little moxie to Lewis Cellars!
